Visit from the Tooth Fairy: February 26, 2011

When Quintin was just over a year old, he took a tumble down the steps in front of Granddaddy's book shop. Because he was so little, it took many months to find a dentist willing to provide the necessary surgery for his consequently chipped front teeth. Finally, we found a great pediatric dentist in Palm Harbor who was (1) covered by his insurance plan and (2) qualified to perform surgery on patients as young as Quintin. We made a number of trips for assessment purposes before Quintin went in to have his front four teeth removed (because the removal of baby teeth tends to encourage earlier eruption of adult teeth, it was necessary, for spacing, to remove all four upper front teeth). When we retuned home, Quintin tucked his teeth under the pillow for a visit from the Tooth Fairy. The next morning, he found a new Toy Story set from the Tooth Fairy! (The Tooth Fairy brought an extra nice prize, since she was able to collect FOUR teeth all at once!)
